Medical / Surgical
As a patient in Landmark’s Medical/Surgical Unit, you’ll discover
that our nurses know just how to combine their professional skills
with a gentle, reassuring approach. Although our nurses manage
highly technical and complex care situations, it’s often the nurse's
kind word, friendly smile, or silent presence that makes a real
difference.
In our Medical/Surgical units, we serve patients who are
hospitalized to receive medicines and treatments or who are staying
for recovery from surgical procedures. Each unit, commonly referred
to as First East, First West, or First Right, has assigned staff
trained in a particular specialty, such as orthopedics, oncology, or
general medical/surgical diagnoses.
Visitor & Patient Information
At the time of admission to the Medical Surgical Unit, please
designate one family member as the contact person. This contact

members.
Regular visiting hours are 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Although we do have set visiting hours, we do make exceptions.
Please consult with the nurse on the unit about special visiting
arrangements.
For the concern of our patient's health, people with illnesses
should refrain from visiting.
Please remember that Landmark Medical Center is a non-smoking
