ABOUT LABORATORY SERVICES:

• Landmark Medical Center’s Department of Laboratory Services is certified by the College of American Pathologists, Clinical Laboratory Amendments, and the Joint Commission.

• All laboratory technologists are licensed by the State of Rhode Island.

• The majority of testing is performed on-site at Landmark Medical Center’s Woonsocket Unit.

• STATS are available within one hour. Routine results are available within two to three hours.

• Special testsare performed at a reference lab. The majority of these results are available within 24 to 48 hours.

• Landmark Medical Center’s Laboratory offers physicians the use of a computer portal system. This allows the ordering doctor the ability to see and print out his/her patient’s results immediately once testing is complete.
