
Ahmed Nadeem, M.D., medical director of the Northern Rhode Island Hematology/Oncology Program at Landmark Medical Center, was recently named a 2009 recipient of the Dean’s Excellence in Teaching Award at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Nadeem is a clinical assistant professor of medicine/bio med medicine at the school.
A resident of Cumberland, Dr. Nadeem joined Landmark Medical Center in 2005. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Yale University and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Brown University. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with added qualifications in the subspecialties of medical oncology and hematology.
To receive the award, a faculty member teaching in the preclinical years must lecture for three or more hours or facilitate small-group learning for at least four sessions, receive an evaluation rating of excellent to outstanding, and have made a particularly significant contribution to the preclinical course during the academic year.
Dr. Nadeem’s hematology/oncology practice is located on the campus of Landmark Medical Center’s Woonsocket Unit at 115 Cass Avenue, Suite 2, Woonsocket, RI.
