How to Apply

Thank you for your interest in applying to the New York Medical College/Landmark Medical Center – Internal Medicine Residency Program. We are an ACGME accredited program sponsored by New York Medical College. Applicants who are interested can apply to our program through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). (Code: 2307140C0)

Please note: For the 2024 season, all interviews will be held virtually. If you are selected for an interview, you will be notified via ERAS.

Our program requirements match those of the ERAS which includes the following:

  • 3 Letters of Recommendation
  • CV (through ERAS)
  • An official USMLE or COMLEX transcript
  • Personal statement
  • Official Medical School transcript
  • Dean’s letter of recommendation
  • A current professional photograph
  • Graduation from medical school within past 3 years

Our program does not have a minimum USMLE or COMLEX score requirement, however, applicants must pass USMLE Step 1, Step 2 or COMLEX Level 1 and Level 2. We believe that a resident is more than just a number and must be evaluated as a whole. However, please keep in mind that our goal is to achieve an average USMLE score of 225 for the incoming class and we take this into consideration when reviewing your application.

Foreign Medical Graduates:

Foreign graduates must meet all the requirements above and must apply through ERAS. We currently support J1 Visas only. If you are a green card holder you must provide proof when interviewing. We require that all foreign graduates have clinical experience in the United States in which they were directly involved in patient care as well as having an up to date ECFMG certificate.
