The following is a typical PGY-1 yearly schedule:
16 weeks of Inpatient Rotations
8 weeks of Intensive Care Unit
4 weeks of Cardiology
4-8 weeks of Night Float/ ICU Night Float
4 weeks ED
2 weeks Anesthesia
2 weeks Interventional Radiology
4 weeks Geri/Hospice
The following is a typical PGY-2 yearly schedule:
16 weeks of Inpatient Rotation
4 weeks of Gastroenterology
4 weeks of Pulmonary Medicine
4 weeks of Intensive Care Unit
4 weeks of Neurology
4 weeks of Hematology/Oncology
4-8 weeks of Night Float/ICU Night Float
4 weeks elective
4 weeks research
The following is a typical PGY-3 yearly schedule:
8 weeks of Ward Service
4 weeks of Nephrology
4 weeks of Geriatrics
4 weeks of Infectious Diseases
4 weeks of Intensive Care Unit
4 weeks of Cardiology
4 weeks of Neurology
4 weeks of Hematology/Oncology
4 weeks of Night Float
4 weeks of Research or Elective
Half day clinic sessions in Landmark Center for Internal Medicine continuity
clinic (minimum 130 sessions over 3 years to meet ABIM Board certification
requirements.
